My passion for software engineering sparked many years ago - at my first job as a teacher, when I started to work alongside a team of talented web developers. What could be more exciting than seeing a 'brand-new' piece of software that solves a complex problem for thousands or millions of users!
Although my path to becoming a software engineer wasn't entirely straightforward, it has definitely helped me to build a unique set of skills that now make me a more capable developer. My journey began in Ukraine where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and worked as a teacher for a few years. After moving to the U.S. I earned a certificate in Software Quality Assurance and worked as a QA engineer in multiple companies both in-house and as a contractor. Along the way, I also worked as a freelance web designer and built numerous marketing websites for local businesses. After graduating from one of the best software engineering bootcamps (HackReactor!) I've been working on some amazing full-stack projects and keeping on growing my engineering skills.

LexiTap (Personal Project)
A language-learning web application.
- Designed and developed the whole application from scratch.
Atelier
A high-performance e-commerce platform.
- Architected and optimized an ETL pipeline to migrate from a monolithic architecture to a microservice, achieving 15-minute ingestion for 20M records from CSV files
- Scaled and conducted extensive load testing of the microservice, achieving 13 ms response time for 3,000 GET req/s and 50 ms for 600 POST req/sec
SPARKvue & PASCO Capstone
Award-winning data collection and analysis applications used in scientific research and education.
- Performed functional, regression, cross-platform and localization testing.
- Created and maintained comprehensive test plans, test cases and reports to ensure 100% testing coverage of critical features prior to each release.
CleanCleanJax
A custom marketing website for a local cleaning company.
- Designed and developed a fully responsive website with CSS animations, contact form and Google Maps integration.
- Implemented basic SEO strategies to improve visibility.
